چکیده

Abstract Multiple orthogonal polynomials with respect to two weights on the step-line are considered. A connection between different dual spectral matrices, one banded (recursion matrix) and Hessenberg, respectively, Gauss–Borel factorization of moment matrix is given. It shown a hidden freedom exhibited by system related multiple polynomials. Pearson equations discussed, Laguerre–Freud considered, differential for type I II polynomials, as well corresponding linear forms The Jacobi–Piñeiro used an illustrating case relations presented. permuting Christoffel transformation finding families provides convenient illustration these symmetries, giving shifted permuted parameters. We also present general theory perturbation each weight polynomial or rational function aka called Geronimus transformations. connections formulas forms, vector Stieltjes–Markov functions illustrate findings analyzing special modification even polynomial.

Orthogonal matrix polynomials, scalar-type Rodrigues' formulas and Pearson equations

Some families of orthogonal matrix polynomials satisfying second order differential equations with coefficients independent of n have recently been introduced (see [DG1]). An important difference with the scalar classical families of Jacobi, Laguerre and Hermite, is that these matrix families do not satisfy scalar type Rodrigues’ formulas of the type (ΦnW )W, where Φ is a matrix polynomial of d...

A Christoffel-Darboux formula for multiple orthogonal polynomials

Bleher and Kuijlaars recently showed that the eigenvalue correlations from matrix ensembles with external source can be expressed by means of a kernel built out of special multiple orthogonal polynomials. We derive a Christoffel-Darboux formula for this kernel for general multiple orthogonal polynomials. In addition, we show that the formula can be written in terms of the solution of the Rieman...

Cmv Biorthogonal Laurent Polynomials: Christoffel Formulas for Christoffel and Geronimus Perturbations

Quasidefinite sesquilinear forms for Laurent polynomials in the complex plane and corresponding CMV biorthogonal Laurent polynomial families are studied. Bivariate linear functionals encompass large families of orthogonalities like Sobolev and discrete Sobolev types. Two possible Christoffel transformations of these linear functionals are discussed. Either the linear functionals are multiplied ...

Multiple orthogonal polynomials , string equations and the large - n limit ∗

The Riemann-Hilbert problems for multiple orthogonal polynomials of types I and II are used to derive string equations associated to pairs of Lax-Orlov operators. A method for determining the quasiclassical limit of string equations in the phase space of the Whitham hierarchy of dispersionless integrable systems is provided. Applications to the analysis of the large-n limit of multiple orthogon...
